All about Barbados

The bajans love festivals with singing and dancing.
The Holetown Festival (february) reminds of the arrivals of the first settlers on the island. The Holders-Season lasts two weeks and offers african rhythms as well as classical music for every ones pleasure.
Holders
The two days long Oistins Fish Festival (april) honours the fishing. Fishermen show their knowledge in different contests.
Crazy climax of the summer is the Crop Over Festival (middle of july to 1st monday of august) and the whole island takes part. The harvest of sugar cane gets celebrated with music, dance and bajan culture.
Finally in november there is the national Independence Festival of Creative Art (1st of november on the Independance Place in Bridgetown. Climax is the 30th of november on the race course Garrisons in Hastings). All bajans of every age show their talents.
Anytime on the island will be a party somewhere, either on the beach or in a hotel or bar.
