All about Barbados
On the westcoast and in the northern scotland district there are manchineel-trees quite commonly spread.
On the beaches you might recognise them with a painted red ring around the trunk. The apple-like fruit
and the resin of the tree contain a light acid poisoning, don't rub the leave between your fingers
they will leave an irritating juice especially when raining which can burn your skin.
First you will get a rash on your skin and after that you can get blisters (like burnt skin).
Don't stand under such a tree while it is raining and don't eat the fruit.
